“Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord!” Psalm/150/6
Is it stretching to say we should not let a single breath that does not glorify His name escape our lungs? How much wasted air have I allowed to slide loosely past my lips? When will we grow tired of tainting His promise for us by inhaling the particles of this world’s lust-cloaked atmosphere?
Where I choose to breathe my own praise, the rocks will cry out. Where I nourish myself with another’s bread, the wolves will hunger for His sustenance instead. Where I move a single limb out of my own accord, the trees will clap their hands in my place. So you ask, can we afford to let one breath that does not bring Him glory escape our lungs? My response to you would be, are you more worthy or is He?
